A BC Rail freight winds along Howe Sound between Squamish and North Vancouver, in August, 1986 at Porteau, BC. My first shot that I thought was a real standout.

Trains are my main passion in life, and the medium through which that passion expresses itself is photography. I've been fortunate to have cut my teeth in one of the most photogenic areas in the U.S., that being Oregon and the Columbia River Gorge, and to have been mentored by some of that region's most prominent rail photographers, including Scott Anderson, Colin Johnson, and Rod Loder. I've also been fortunate to have acquired enough quality equipment over the years, to have been to enough places where I was inspired to capture the rail scene on film, and to have gotten enough experience that I have a collection that I feel comfortable sharing with the rest of 'the community'. |
